Our engineers have created a training course called S.P.R.A. (Sistemi Procedurali di Riparazione Alternativa – Alternative Repair Procedural Systems) that provides a perfect balance between theoretical and practical activities, enabling the mechatronics to acquire highly specialised technical skills that can be immediately utilised in the workshop.

The objective of every mechatronics course is to provide participants with specific technical skills that are immediately spendable in the workshop and remain useful over time.

At the end of the training course, participants acquire the skills to work on electronic control units, the object in which 90 per cent of car problems are concentrated.

DIMTRONIC TRAINING COURSES

Elettrotecnica ed Elettronica applicata alla gestione del veicolo - corso avanzato

OBJECTIVES:

The aim of this module is to provide the technician with an advanced knowledge of the notions concerning digital communications affecting the various electronic modules on board the vehicle, from the point of view of diagnosis with both conventional and advanced tools. By juxtaposing the theoretical part explained in the classroom with the practical part on the vehicle, the technician at the end of the course will be able to have a thorough understanding of how data networks work and how they are verified and checked.

CONTENTS:

The practical part will involve the use of two cars, one with CAN communication in series and one in parallel, as well as inspection of single-wire communication lines.

Euro 6: New technologies for gasoline and diesel engines

OBJECTIVES:
The training module provides the technician with an update regarding EURO 6 anti-pollution devices common to all manufacturers, with particular interest in gasoline engines. The purpose of the course is to provide a comprehensive overview of the new technologies applied on powertrains suitable for the containment of emissions, with particular attention to the aspect of maintenance, repair, control and verification of the proper functioning of all mechanical, electrical and electronic components involved in the above systems. At the end of the course, the participant will be in a position to have a complete and up-to-date view of what currently exists in relation to current anti-pollution regulations. In addition, he/she will be able to intervene with greater familiarity and confidence in the routine and extraordinary maintenance operations of the devices in question.
CONTENTS:
During the hands-on part, it will be possible to examine some of the technologies presented, analyzing a car and also simulating malfunctions, and then delving into the possibilities of intervention using dedicated diagnostic instrumentation.

Fault analysis methodologies on engine control units.

OBJECTIVES:
The objective of this course is to provide the participant with an overview of the main systems involved in engine management, both gasoline and diesel (Bosch, Delphi, Siemens…). Next, the main components of the various “departments” will be reviewed: intake, exhaust and fuel supply. Control and diagnostic techniques will be highlighted for the aforementioned components. In the course of the discussion, there will be no shortage of opportunities to analyze the merits and demerits of diagnostic instrumentation, going into why diagnosis is a tool to be used with caution, although it is indispensable. The methodology to be applied in troubleshooting will be addressed in detail so as to make the participant as autonomous as possible in troubleshooting and identifying faults on different injection, gasoline and diesel systems, thus also reducing intervention time.

Analysis of the most significant fault codes

During the practical test, which will take place in gaming mode, the trainer will generate malfunctions, and participants will be asked to define the fault-finding process by implementing the strategies previously reviewed. The tools necessary for fault finding (diagnosis, multimeter, oscilloscope…) will be provided by the trainer, who will ensure that the goal is achieved through teamwork involving all the workshops present.

Doip diagnostics and multiplex electrical architectures compared

OBJECTIVES:
This course aims to provide the participant with an overview of in-vehicle communications networks. Continuing evolutions in technology have prompted automakers to change the integrated in-vehicle standards, so the course will analyze multiplex configurations that may be encountered on cars. The methodology to be applied when troubleshooting caused by multiplex network malfunctions will be addressed in detail, so that the participant will be as autonomous as possible in troubleshooting and identifying faults on the different configurations.
CONTENTS:
The practical part involves the analysis on a car of all the communication networks of the car in all its systems and components. We then move on to the training of the technician on the procedures, to be applied for the detection of errors and the functional procedure for the resolution of problems introduced by multiplex network malfunctions, with fault simulations and resolution.
